Meraki Impact, through the Meraki Institute, a private philanthropic organization, supports the development and strengthening of civil society organizations and socio-environmental collectives advancing Social and Climate Justice in Brazil. We believe in the transformative power of an integrated approach, where investments and philanthropy work together to build a more just, inclusive, and life-centered society, one that thrives in harmony with the systems that sustain our planet.

As a Brazilian family, our philanthropic efforts are focused exclusively in Brazil, reflecting our deep commitment to the country’s people, territories, and ecosystems.

We believe that the transformation we aspire to see in the world begins with the way we operate. As a grantmaking foundation, we seek to collaborate with organizations and initiatives committed to advancing social, environmental, and climate justice, promoting the reduction of inequalities, the democratization of access to philanthropic resources, and the transformation of power structures that shape our society.

We cultivate relationships grounded in active listening, prioritizing flexible and streamlined support that strengthens the institutional capacity and autonomy of the organizations we support. We are committed to building long-term relationships.

Well-being, regeneration, sovereignty, and socio-environmental rights

Alliance Between Funds

A collaborative initiative uniting the Brazil Human Rights Fund, the Casa Socio-Environmental Fund, and the Elas Fund to design and implement joint strategies for learning, advocacy, and financing in support of community-based climate action.

Casa Socio-Environmental Fund

Through a funding alliance, we support initiatives selected by the Casa Socio-Environmental Fund that empower grassroots organizations, safeguard community leaders, and strengthen Indigenous and Quilombola territorial governance. These initiatives also promote the regeneration of land, forests, and productive systems, while fostering cultural vitality and income generation that sustain local resilience.

Dema Fund

A fund promoting social, environmental, and climate justice in the Amazon. Through institutional support, we help advance the Dema Fund’s work in advocacy, network-building, and collaboration with other regional philanthropic initiatives.

Guarani Yvyrupa Commission

Through a funding alliance, we support the institutional strengthening of the Guarani Yvyrupa Commission (CGY) and the implementation of structural initiatives in Guarani Mbya territories, guided by the life plan developed by their communities.

Frente Alimenta

Frente Alimenta promotes the strengthening of urban agroecological production and access to healthy, high-quality food for people facing food insecurity in São Paulo, connecting agroecological producers with community kitchens in the city’s peripheral areas.

Instituto Elos

Instituto Elos is a Brazilian organization dedicated to strengthening communities through social education, collective mobilization, and collaborative methodologies. Its work values local knowledge, deep listening, and joint action as pathways to social transformation, through practices such as the Elos Methodology and the Oasis Game. By supporting Instituto Elos, our philanthropy contributes to the development of fairer, more resilient, and more participatory territories, strengthening community leadership and local capacity to generate sustainable solutions from within.

Regenerosity

Regenerosity is an organization founded in Switzerland that works to strengthen regenerative initiatives in the Global South, supporting leaders and communities that promote ecological, social, and cultural regeneration in their territories. Through support, training, and connection processes — such as the Blossom Program, supported by Instituto Meraki — the organization creates the conditions for locally rooted solutions to flourish and generate lasting change. In Brazil, this support reaches Indigenous and community-based organizations such as Coletivo Jupago Kreka (Xukuru de Orubá – PE), Centro de Cultura Kariri Xocó (AL), Associação Indígena do Marajó (Potiguara – RN), and Associação de Jovens Produtores Indígenas Tingui Botó (AL).
