Meraki Impact, through the Meraki Institute (a private philanthropic organization), supports the strengthening of civil society organizations and socio-environmental collectives that promote Social and Climate Justice in Brazil. We believe in the transformative potential of an integrated approach, where investments and philanthropic donations work hand in hand to build a more just, inclusive society that is aligned with the systems sustaining life on Earth.

We believe that to foster the transformation we wish to see in the world, we must begin with how we operate. We are a grantmaking organization that seeks partners actively working for social, environmental, and climate justice, promoting the reduction of inequalities, the democratization of access to philanthropic resources, and the transformation of power relations.

We build relationships based on active listening, prioritizing flexible and streamlined support for the free or institutional use of the organizations we support. We are here to build long-term relationships.

Casa Socio-Environmental Fund

In a funding alliance, we support projects selected by the Casa Socio-Environmental Fund, promoting the institutional strengthening of grassroots organizations and collectives, the protection of activists and community leaders, and the reinforcement of governance and protection of Indigenous and Quilombola territories. We also promote the regeneration of land, forests, and productive systems, as well as the strengthening of cultural initiatives and income generation in these territories.

Dema Fund

Guarani Yvyrupa Commission

In a funding alliance, we support the institutional strengthening of the Guarani Yvyrupa Commission (CGY) and the implementation of structural initiatives in the territories based on a life plan developed by the Guarani Mbya people.
