By regenerative agriculture, we mean producing food in partnership with nature, promoting the healing of the soil and the improvement of its main ecosystem services including but not limited to carbon capture, biodiversity and water retention.

We focus mainly on the way we produce food, making the shift from conventional agriculture to regenerative agriculture.

By regenerative agriculture we mean producing in partnership with nature promoting the healing of the soil and the improvement of its main ecosystem services including carbon capture, biodiversity and water retention.

The role of water as an ecosystem service is vital to our thesis. Water is at the core of life on the planet. Without water, there is no food production, and regenerative agriculture has an incredible potential to bring back water springs and rivers, and promote water retention in the soil – which in turn creates climate resilience and makes farming still possible in a new reality of climate instability.

With that in mind, here are five crucial areas we are interested in when considering what we should invest in:
Nutrient density

Fresh and promising research shows that the nutrient density of food produced in regenerative systems not only has greater levels of nutrients per calorie but also better flavor and aroma from food produced in comparison to conventional farming.

Bio stimulants and fertilizers

We need a whole set of biological products that have the potential of accelerating the regeneration of soils and substituting chemicals we use in conventional agriculture.

Monitoring and validation
it is crucial that we are able to monitor and evaluate what is happening in our soils, biodiversity, water and nutrients. Monitoring technology has to be more accessible and cheaper to use at farm level.
Financing the transition
we are interested in ways we can use financial innovation to fund the regenerative transition, allowing farmers to capture the value they generate in their farms through their practices.
Processing and supply chain
Our current supply chains are all built around conventional agriculture and monoculture. We need to find ways of adding value to regenerative products at farm level, giving them fair and direct access to the market.
Our core business

We choose to invest in early-stage companies and innovation through fund managers with impact-oriented thesis, which best fit to our theory of change.

To better address our heart thesis, we are only doing direct investment at farm level, considering that a key part of our thesis is to prove that regenerative agriculture is profitable and possible on a large scale.
